Find primes p and q such that 7p^2 - q^2 = 166.I know the answer is p = 5 and q = 3 but I don't know how to prove it/ Help!
i've racked my head about this and the only thing i can prove is this
both p and q have to be odd
q has to be of the form 14k+3 or 14k+11
q cannot be 5
this is just intuition but i think i can restrict q to 3 and 11 simply because 17^2, 31^2, and 53^2 are all too big
